Save the Date! Y-Knot Pool Party Feb 12!


Escape the cold at the second annual Y-Knot Pool Party February 12 at Diamond Eight Billiards in Latham. Players and non-players of all ages and experience level are welcome. There will be contests and a speed tournament for those who can't resist competing, friendly tips and pointers for "newbies" a fabulous buffet and maybe a few surprises. Come join us and help support Y-Knot Sailing.
Cost: $35 to play, $50 to come and heckle. Kids welcome.
Fun starts at 1pm.

More info now available on the UD18

The Access Dinghy folks are calling it the SKUD18 now (for "Skiff Universal Design"). But at least we have specs now, and a few more detailed photos. This is the boat that the IFDS has selected for use in the Paralympics Two-Person Keelboat event. Some interesting features, like dual rudders and a tube-launched A-sail. No word on pricing yet, however...

2006 Sailing Schedule Set

The 2006 sailing schedule has been set, and it's our best year yet! We'll be running our popular Learn to Sail classes in May once again, along with a full slate of nine sailing clinics throughout the summer. New this year: Sunset Sails! On three Fridays this summer we'll go out sailing and experience a spectacular Lake George sunset on the water. Y-Knot Board Meeting Set for Jan. 4, 2006

The first 2006 Board of Managers meeting is set for this Wednesday, January 4, at 6:00 pm at the Clifton Park YMCA. On the agenda: setting up the sailing and events calendar for the coming year.
